About Us

This foundation has been created in loving memory of a beautiful soul, Maryann Loprete, who left this earth on January 28th, 2010, in a tragic drunk driving accident. In keeping Maryann's name alive, friends and family have banded together to start this foundation to help raise money and support for the Maryann Loprete Memorial Foundation (MLMF).

Our Board Members are comprised of family and friends who strive to pass along Maryann’s memory through this Foundation. We came together with different experiences and backgrounds to improve the communities we live in. Our organization’s strength lies in the collective voice of each board member. Our foundation fulfills the aspirations, dreams, and goals Maryann had. Together, we are much more successful and influential in giving back to the community.

wHAT WE DO

The activities we support embody the spirit of giving and community support that Maryann valued deeply. Through these efforts, the Maryann Loprete Memorial Foundation strives to make a meaningful difference and continue Maryann's legacy of helping others.

Annual Scholarships to High School Students

We provide annual scholarships to high school students, helping them pursue their educational goals and dreams in honor of Maryann’s passion for education and community support.

Aviation Events with Super Jet Brunette

We participate in the Women in Aviation Organization workshops, encouraging young girls interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. This initiative helps to inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders in these crucial areas.

MADD Events and Legislative Efforts

We actively participate in Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) events and legislative efforts. By supporting these initiatives, we aim to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and advocate for stronger laws to prevent such tragedies.

Hartford Men’s Homeless Shelter

Our volunteers serve the homeless at a men’s homeless shelter in Hartford. This hands-on effort ensures that we are directly impacting and improving the lives of those in need within our community.

Donating Food to the Rocky Hill, CT Food Pantry

We are committed to fighting hunger in our local area by donating food to the Rocky Hill, CT Food Pantry. Through our contributions, we help provide essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
